Jesus is my Hero!

The damsel has to be in distress
Before the hero can be heroic.

Just something I've been thinking about lately...

Before I can recognize how GREAT God is, I have to realize my own distress and how much I need Him. I cannot take care of myself, as much as I would sometimes like to think. I need God to rescue me. The more I realize how “sick” I am, the more I realize how much I need God who can save me, who has ALL glory, honor, and power, and who loves unconditionally. And… the more I recognize His strength and love, the more I trust and depend on Him and the more heroic I realize He really is. My Savior is worthy, worthy, worthy!
“As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”!
– 2 Corinthians 6:1-2
