Lucerne, Switzerland

The Swiss were STOKED for Servia's win in the World Cup and waved their flags and honked their horns endlessly in the street...

"Girl's Night In" - our girls-only snack party in my room on our last night in Lucerne

Favorite Memory: I ended up having a little bit of a cold in Lucerne and wasn’t able to go out much (hence the lack of pictures). Most of my time was spent either resting in bed or working on our marketing class group project – coming up with a marketing recommendation and strategy to introduce Snyder’s pretzels into the German market. When I was able to leave the hotel, I ventured into the old part of town with a few friends (by now, I’m realizing that EVERY city we go to has an “old town” and, apparently, that’s where everything happens). We ended up finding an uber amazing “Chocolaterie” where the aroma of chocolate overwhelmed the store and charmed every naïve person who entered into buying more chocolate than they actually needed or wanted. The lady behind the counter set out a plate of freshly-made chocolate samples. We thought we might have entered paradise for a second… but after she noticed we found it, she took it away almost immediately; we didn’t take that much, I promise! I probably don’t need to explain how amazing the Swiss chocolate was or how it melted in our mouths or how it tasted like heaven… so I won’t. All you need to know is... the Swiss are famous for their chocolate for a reason.

To be continued…

Next stop: Geneva, Switzerland
