When we arrive at eternity's shore, where death is just a memory and tears are no more, we'll enter in as the wedding bells ring, your bride will come together and we'll sing...
You're beautiful!
What a dazzling picture of reality with Christ, a picture that brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. The beauty of His incredible love for us, His bride, is overwhelming to begin with, but even more so as we consider that HE is the Beautiful One.
...
Without a doubt, the most dazzling part of any wedding is the beautiful bride and, in particular, the moment those chapel doors open and she is revealed in all her radiance. That is the moment that every eye begins to water and the smile on the groom's face could not be matched for all its exuberance. This is the moment. After all, he has waited his entire life for this and has passionately pursued this girl of his dreams who, before his very eyes, has transformed into a beautiful woman. Together, they have journeyed through good and bad, they gave grown closer in friendship and found more and more respect for each other than they ever thought was possible, they have come to understand what it truly means to love a person and are ready to make the commitment to love each other until death do they part. And now, at the pinnacle of that relationship is the moment, when the doors open wide and in steps his bride, stunning in all her beauty and ready to make that commitment a brilliant reality. The bride is the star; she is the beauty, the dazzle, the sparkle... the glory of the wedding.
But oh, how I look forward to the most resplendent wedding of all - that day when the gates of Heaven open wide and in walks HIS beautiful bride--His people, the Church.
It's such a crazy, but wonderful picture I see. Jesus has been waiting for this very moment for ages, has passionately and devotedly pursued His people since time began, and has refused to give up regardless of our response. Repeatedly, his bride has turned away from him. We run to him for comfort and blessings... only to run away again for our own selfish desires. Yet, he has pursued with unconditional devotion, drawing us ever to him, romancing us with his power, sacrifice, and never-ending love. Before his very eyes, we have transformed from a rebellious people into a radiant bride.

At the pinnacle of this relationship, we are completely surrendered to his love, ready to make the eternal commitment to love him devotedly for ever and ever... for no death can separate this bond.
And then... the gates of Heaven open wide and in steps his bride - we, the Church, the star, the beauty, the dazzle, the sparkle.. the glory of the wedding.
And yet,
In the glory of His presence, there we fall unashamed to our knees and with all our hearts can't help but cry out, "You're Beautiful!"
In the end, He chooses to see us as holy, blameless, and pure. But all the while, He has been the Beautiful One.
Now finally, we are HIS alone and nothing can tear us apart. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man put asunder.
