Just Don't Scratch the Itch Anymore

Today's a big day. My life could change totally and completely. Forever.

The doctor could tell me to completely change my diet, become gluten-free, wheat-free, sugar-free, or lactose-intolerant. He could instruct me to never touch plastic or latex again, to never wear cotton (gosh, THEN what would I do?) or (heaven forbid!), keep me from ever drinking coffee. Ever again!

"You've been researching too much," my friend tells me.

"Stop asking the what-if's!," my husband encourages me.

But some things are easier said than done.

Like... "just don't scratch the itch anymore."

Update: The Hedrick household it safe and coffee is still on the (hourly) menu.

We still don't know what the specific allergy is, but we're zeroing in on some chemical in lotions.

Previously, we knew of an allergy to certain fragrance oils and aloe; those are pretty typical. This allergy is a little more illusive.

But again: it' not a coffee allergy.
