Reverberate

Because I thought it poignant...

Our God, you are good to all, and your mercy is over all you have made. Still, we remain suspicious of your character. Though we do not deserve it, you are kind and long-suffering—yet we complain that you owe us more. Our arrogance is most clearly seen in what little thanks we daily give you. Heavenly Father, we are so unlike you! We rarely pray for our "enemies" or long for their good. We are partial toward those who flatter us. We are generous toward those who have something to give in return. We redefine your call to love—making it more doable and convenient—then congratulate ourselves for our righteousness. God of mercy, look upon the perfect sacrifice of your Son and please forgive us our sins.

What have we become that we dare to think that God would owe something... to us?

Why am I passionate about making God known? Because this (above). THIS. I am so unlike Christ. And yet, God sees me as holy and blameless in His sight. I have received and I have experienced God's forgiveness and His grace. His love is living through me. I have been changed! And I have something to share, I have something to sing about, something to shout from the rooftops and the highest mountains!

"I HAVE BEEN REDEEMED!!!"

The Good News is SO good.
