This is Jesus in His Glory

"This is Jesus in His Glory,
King of Heaven dying for me
It is finished; He has done it
Death is beaten, Heaven beckons me" (Song Lyrics)

I have had the chorus of this song stuck in my head since the first time I heard it two weeks ago. Partially, I will admit, this was due to it's tune and rhythm. But this song has officially topped my list of favorite songs for more reasons than noise. The main theme of the song, I think, is what continuously drives me back to it. I've been pondering over the lyrics for the past few weeks, but most particularly today, as I sang it for only the second time. I thought about how it was as if I was seeing Jesus dying on the cross and rising up - - this was Jesus in His glory. I'll never be able to know how much it cost on His part, but I do know that the King of Heaven, the Creator of all things... my Savior died for me - yes, He died for little Lizzie years ago because He loved me and wanted my presence with Him in Heaven. In fact, He desired my Heavenly presence over His very own earthly presence; my life for His. Then, my Jesus beat sin and death once and for all! He did it, it is finished! Sin has lost it's power and death has lost it's sting (Marvelous Light)... I am no longer held down to this earth by my sin but am beckoned to join Him in Heaven. He died that I could enter Heaven; His death serves as my ticket into Heaven... He made me elibible for Heaven. As if all that was not enough, Jesus rose from the grave to conquer it all, victoriouisly. This is love. This is Jesus in His glory.

Nice.

Will you me a favor. I just got off the phone with Steven from Iraq, and he is doing well. At the moment all is quiet there, although his unit saw action last week.
Could you update anyone at Biola who was in his class for me.(unlike you, they all stopped blogging...the bums! :-) )

Thank you.
