Train station in Latvia, waiting for our train to Russia!
...
Me and my cabin-mates in our 4-person train cabin. We were on that train for 16 hours!

Favorite Memory: Getting free WiFi on the sleeper train to Russia... I didn't even know that was possible! There I was, in the middle of somewhere in Latvia, on a train, squished with 6-7 other people in a super-warm, little 4-person cabin (our cabin attracted a lot of people because it was one of the only few cabins with a WiFi hotspot) ... and talking with one of my professors from school on facebook! I am so in awe of technology and am realizing the reality of the *World-Wide* Web... it's crazy!
Also, getting inspected by the Russian officials at the border was an experience in itself. No smiling... only suspicious and inquisitive looks. Then they took our passports, let their dog smell our suitcases, and disappeared (with our passports!). Fortunately, they came back about 20 minutes later with our (stamped!) passports, and all was well.
To be continued...
Next stop: Moscow, Russia
