Incomprehensible Love
I know it’s been awhile, but I’m still reading Donald Miller’s Searching For God Knows What… it’s just so good I don’t want to finish it! I read the other night that Jesus liked to be with people – that He loves us immensely. Of course, I already knew that, but Miller just finds a way to put everything in a new way for his readers. He talked about a friend of his who ran a big money making business. The friend said his business was so successful because it was run by love - the owner knew the specific story and name of every single person that his business sought to help; in fact, he even kept an envelope in his pocket at all times filled with pictures of each and every one of those people. The author shared that Jesus, like his friend, has all of our pictures in His wallet, so to speak, ready to tell whoever asks all about us. And He knows every single person – what makes them smile, what they fear, what breaks their heart, how many times they’ve felt this way, how many hairs they have on their head… That means so much to me! To know that somebody (not just somebody, but the King of the universe) loves me with so much love before I even know Him and that He declares I am special to Him is more fulfilling than anything I can ever know. I don’t understand this love, but I know that I love it! Thank you Jesus!
