A good friend of mine and I made a deal recently to remind each other daily of the ways that God shows us His love. We call it, His "romancing" us; if we are the bride of Christ, then Christ must be romancing us and drawing us to love Him more and more every day. So, we're making a point to try to recognize it every day, whether it's something like seeing a gorgeous sunset or having the street light turn green the moment we arrive...
God romanced me today when I was at frozen yogurt with my brother. Silly me was wearing a short sleeve shirt while eating cold yogurt on a cold day in the middle of winter (what was I thinking?). The girl behind the register saw me shivering in my seat and asked if she could turn the heater up for me. Her gesture was totally out of the blue, plus there were other people in there who were perfectly comfortable in their sweatshirts and warm attire (obviously people who thought about the weather before they went to eat something frozen). It was so thoughtful of her, and definitely a kind of service that you don't get every day at any old yogurt shop. But all I could think of was how this was a gift from God - a reminder that He is looking out for me, even in little things like room temperature, and He uses people to show us His love.

Aw, this is a cool idea. I take it you and Turell are doing this together?
Yes, me and my ENGAGED roommate!!
I love this Elizabeth! Count me in. :)
Ahh!! I just read this and decided to start this a few days ago. I was reading the book Captivating, and the author had talked about how God had romanced her and figured I should pray to God to romance me as well. So far God has brought me a beautiful sunset and one of my favorite things of all..rain!! This morning I was feeling down and looking out the window and there appeared right before me a rainbow! Isn't God amazing, I was a bit skeptical at first, when I first prayed I wasn't certain if it was going to work or not. Sure enough He is faithful! :) Can't wait to hear more ways He is going to romance you!
